Is custom filter tube with a K & N air work and the K & N kit that comes with the filter and pipe?
The filter K & N 200-250 kits retail for around $ for my vehicle. However, I have seen the kits on ebay that are tailor-made pipes with same diameter and the same K & N filters for $ 50-75. Will it work well? I do not see why not.
As long as you make sure that is sealed and isolated is fine perhaps better if you insulate better, or run it on something else, many cars to take stock on the fender to get more air through there, so if You can use the fender area rather than fog light area is likely to help you a bit.
