1995 Dodge Ram pickup. cummins diesel. hard starting.?

works very well. just started giving me problems when I start it. today was about 70F at night, when I started it to 12N 85F. no problem. 20 minutes later, wouldnt start. tried a couple of times. He waited a few minutes. then began. five minutes later. the same. 1 hour later. wouldnt start. wait a few minutes. wouldnt start. He waited a few minutes. begun. any idea what to check first? I know nothing about diesel engines, I've only worked in the gas. in a gas engine, I would probably start with a set-up, the filter gas, air filter. but this truck was held for about 500 miles. of course it is possible to filter failed. sit for 5 days and then used to two. no battery light and I doubt that it was the glow plugs, because it is very hot. I think I will start by controlling the fuel lines.

You may have a problem with the closing solenoid does not pull the lever far enough fuel.
