Cleaning the air filter foam from my portable generator to my home? thanks in advance?
How to clean the foam air filter for my generator my home laptop? generator manual, "says clean with an agent. does not explain what agent. So what chemical or should be used to clean properly? I have cleaned the air filter foam in the laundry tub. Spraying hot water across the surface removes much of the dirt. Then put laundry detergent plates in the filter and work through. This should eliminate much of the oil and smaller dust particles along with it. Repeat a few times until the filter is clean. Let it dry completely, apply a light coat of oil, and reinstalling the generator.
