As its name suggests, air purifiers are designed to keep the air we breathe as free as possible against the allergens, dust and other pollutants transported. There are many types of air purifiers, some more advanced than others. There are also a distinction between the office and air purifiers at home.
Air Purifiers are thus two main objectives which, although similar in appearance, are not. The first is to keep the air clean from germs and bacteria and the other is to remove the air of allergens such as pollen agents.
It is important to know that the air purifier can do everything, some are more suited for some functions than others. There three basic technologies used for air cleaners: electrostatic adsorption / electronic and mechanical filtration.
Technology Electrostatic uses the principle of attraction positive and negative. As such, electrostatic air purifiers use charged plates draw pollutants into the air.
Adsorption is the process by which certain smells such as cigarette smoke, they leave a room. However, this technology is little in the way of removing small particles like dust and microbes. Mechanical filtering uses a screen to identify the air of pollen, however, works to clear odors.
There are many types of air purifiers that use one or the other or even a combination of technologies mentioned before. The most popular types of air purifiers air purifiers are ozone, HEPA filters, air purifiers ionic air purifiers and ultraviolet light.
HEPA filters typically remove over 99 percent of particles floating in the air. The main disadvantage of HEPA filters is their inability to eliminate the smell the air.
