Same Focus 2002 Motor Flood out!?
I bought a 2002 Ford Focus ZTS dealer 6 months ago, and the warranty expired 2 weeks before the problem started. Anyway, I was driving home from work, stopped to watch a car for sale for my friend, I went up, started the car and began to walk away. After a minute the car started shaking and throwing error, so I stopped, looked at the oil etc and everything was fine. I started the car back safety and went home. The next morning it stopped running all together, no fire at all. So I drove to a store a block away and told me that the ignition coil was bad. He will be replaced, put new plugs, air filter and spark plug wires. The car starts now, but floods out now and the smell of fuel rich and stuttering. Any ideas on what might be wrong with that? Suggestions I received are oxygen sensors, mass air flow sensors, and a possible Catalyst obstruction. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
may be the fuel pressure regulator or a bad unit if you have the check engine light going to a scanner that will tell you exactly what was going on im pretty sure you have an electrical problem, so computed is your choice, im not gona say not bad, as simple as things can spoil things and bad things or ECU or maffsensor really like to stop newbies guess
