What are the best air filters of good quality, an ozone generator or an air ionizer good and healthy?

My friend just moved into an apartment and worries out of gas and indoor air pollution, this is a nice discussion of what the strategy [or combination approaches] is the best to deal to their concerns. None of us are engineers or technicians. I know there are plants [and do not have that list] to help cleanse and purify indoor air. Also allergens natural in our geographical area are generally high.

Real Simple. Ozone generators create ozone, ... "Go Figure" and create a large dose of O3 to clean the air you do not want. Basically O3 is large in the upper atmosphere, but is horrible for low due to their destructive nature. Ionizers also produce a small amount the ozone layer, but is very minimal and not even close to the amount produced by ozone generators. They come as an option in many of HEPA units and will help with the smell, but generally not necessary. HEPA air filters are by far the best we can get, but you like to find a good brand with filter replacements low cost. Indoor plants are also great, along with the opening of the windows (if outdoor air is not so bad). Personally I have some bad allergies I carry nuts. I picked up a used 800 square feet HEPA filter ALAN on eBay last year for $ 150 dollars and have been very happy WIH it. It has a 98-99% and performance index of the filters are about $ 50 per piece. I do not like to recommend any brands so do some online searches on their own and see what you like. Good luck ... Hope this helps. Source: allergy sufferer and mechanical engineer by profession.

Best air filter for smoking?

I smoke and am looking to buy an air filter for one room. I saw a small HEPA at wal mart for only 50 and the replacement HEPA filters Were 15. IT Was a GE. But There are so many for more money and Some the same price. What do you use for air filtration for smoking? What brand, does it work ok?

Needing a machine to collect cat hair from ground and air!!!!?

We have 5 cats & they shed alot. We bought the top of the line Dyson vacuum and that gets all the hair but I have to vacumm the house everyday. We also have the 3m filters for the house.

I have the same problem and I only have one cat. My prior dog shed tons too. I said I would never allow another shedding animal and now I have adopted another. And I love her too.
I need help also. She is 2 yrs old and sheds tons. I have changed foods too with no help. And nothing seems to pick up the soft fine hair. She is a Tortie.
I do have one of those gloves you wear that pick up hair and I run it along everything but carpet. Then vacuum.
You must be exhausted cleaning all the time.
Try looking on Ebay. They have a good section for cat products. Maybe we will find something there.
