Replacing the air filter in the cab of a 2003 Honda Pilot?
No, not that simple. The problem with the 2003 model year (first year) is that the cabin air filter (sitting upright) is blocked by a horizontal piece of dash trim and a metal plate. It seems that he forgot to design engineers a good way to remove the cabin filter after the script is installed. It is necessary to first remove the glove box dropping down the road. There are clips on both sides of the glove box that holds the box in place. Once the glove box are removed or dropped, it is necessary to physically cut the piece of dash trim that covers the filter cabin access door. Cut the trim on either side .... it is an inch wide by 16 inches in length. This will not affect anything and will not be visible when the glove box is reinstalled as this adjustment was sitting behind the box. There is also a metal plate behind the plastic trim that is extracted through screws on each side. Once the seat and the metal plate is removed, remove the door you can open the filter and pull the old filter. Replace with new filter, reinstall metal plate and the glove compartment.

i am thinking of putting k&n air filters on my bike. r - 1090 universal fits to attach straight to the 48mm air inlet on the carb.
i am unfamiliar w/ rejetting a carb. the factory jets are a #160 & a #135. i understand i can just buy new jets, and probably get the spacer washers at lowes. but i am unsure of what to move up to. and considering this motorcycle is pretty much my only form of transportation for a 23 mile each way commute, i want to make sure its disabled for the shortest amount of time possible.
what size jets ought i move up to? will there likely be redrilling? anyone have experience with this bike and tuning? the carb is a mikuni 34mm.

Single to clarify a previous question I had, I've heard that ionized air can be potentially harmful (ie free radicals), so we want to avoid air filters that ionize the air. The 3M Filtrete electrostatic polyolefin-based filters (very common in the furnace filters, and now as part of an independent air purifier) are pre-loaded with a static charge that attracts dirt, dust and air particles filling stream. My question is, as non-ionized (regular), the air travels through filter (via a simple fan, there ionizer involved) is there any way you can pick any of the burden of electrostatic filters, or air can become a little ionized in any way or form after leaving the filter? Now, I know, the air does not conduct charges well, so my guess would be no, but I would like have an expert opinion.
