Before I moved into my new house I realized that the blind had little to no dust on them. The A / C worked during the various visits that I made before closing on the house. Then we moved, replaced the filter with the blues generic and have noticed a lot more dust. I understand that real people (we) are living at home now and could cause the dust, and that 70% of particles in the air is human skin, but 3M, Honeywell, etc. .. filters to prevent that? Hi, The filter is used may be electrostatic. Hard to say without seeing it. I would recommend doing a search for Intertherm furnace filter 1 / 4 "x 19" x 54 "on Yahoo and see what happens. If that does not return good results trying to do the search in quotes. Unfortunately this is a rare form filter and a standard type of filter is not adjusted. I would recommend having an HVAC contractor look at it. They should be able to reach a solution for mounting a pleated filter for that unit. As for the response on use of an ultraviolet light.
