I have a neighbor downstairs, who smoke constantly in his apartment and smoke released in full .. My apartment at the point of burning my eyes, my headache and all my clothes smell of cigarettes .. I can not really tell you to stop smoking, so I'm looking for an air purifier that works specifically for cigarette smoke. Someone Can give me adivce? thank you!

Ionic air purifiers and ozone emissions ..?

I want to buy an air purifier. For HEPA filters are noisey, Ion thinking. But I heard some omit ozone, even when the level is below the level of industrial safety. Ever usewd ionic air purifier and found .. good? Also, if you use a HEPA filter, please leave a comment on the noise level. Do you find it Thanksgiving too disturbing? The advance.

I had the Sharper Image Ionic Purifier for 3 years. The smell of ozone, it is sometimes recognizable, and not unpleasant, but it is good for breathing. Consumer Reports has reviewed the purifier several times and were suspended because the ionic mechanism does not move enough air to filter even a small room. In fact, I saw no difference in the accumulation of dust, when I used it. Now I have a little Hunter HEPA filter. The noise is tolerable after a while and there is a substantial and significant decrease of the amount of dust. The disadvantage compared to the ion filter is not cheap (mine around $ 22) and must be replaced every 3 months or 6 if you really stretch it.
