Looking to buy a purifier air and tries to compare and find the difference between ratings of MERV filter furnace and the odds of a CADR air purifier.
MERV: Minimum efficiency value under consideration, called a Notice Merv is a measurement scale to assess the effectiveness air filters. The scale is designed to represent the worst performance in the case of a filter when it comes to particles in the range 0.3 to 10 microns. Merv is a rating of 1 to 16. MERV higher scores represent a higher percentage of particles captured at each step. CADR: Clean Air Delivery Rate (CADR) indicates the volume of filtered air through an air filter delivered. CADR also determines to what extent quality of reduces air pollutants like tobacco smoke, snuff, pollen and dust. The upper snuff smoke, pollen and numbers of dust, the faster the unit filters the air.
